While visiting a couple of good friends in the Kerry town of Killarney around 2008, I took a few photos of the town at twilight and this painting resulted in 2018.  Twilight produces beautiful colours if you change some settings on your camera and click at the right time,  I have found that drizzle or damp air can also act as some kind of filter to heighten blues in an image.  These blues are fascinating to me, I am often out and about taking photos when the conditions are right.  I have tons of photos I’m considering using for paintings but maybe life is too short!
