This is my new post in November 2025 when I find I have time again (or interest and time) to update my website.  Either I’ve gotten a bit used to it (even though I’ve done absolutely no work on it for 5 years???) or it has gotten easier as an interface.

Or maybe I’m just in the mood for computers at this point…

I intend to dick around with it here and there to get this and that working the way I may want it to work, I’m not sure I have no major plan to be honest.  The way it is now is actually ok but it needs more new images and a few big tweaks here and there.  I’m in the business of making art, not websites but I’ve been working and looking after ageing parents for the last three years so obviously art things get de-prioritised.

However, since my father died two months ago on September 16th, 2025, I’ve had a bit more time and a lot more interest in doing this website job.  My father was a great local singer and made a lot of people happy over the years with his charm at parties and in local gigs.  But his talent was a bit wasted because it wasn’t recorded enough (or if it was I haven’t found it yet…) and this fact of a lost talent is giving me the impetus to pursue my own craft and ability now.  Five years since I updated this website…. Jesus where does the time go???  Next thing I’ll be drawing the pension and still not have anything really concrete done…

Hopefully not though.  RIP Da, we miss you (but I know your spirit is at my side now)

EDIT: I removed this “post” or “page” or whatever the fhell it’s called to “drafts” in my superduper customiser or dashboard so why the God in Heaven is it still showing up on my website????

I’ve had this website for a year as of 16th February, 2019, and I’ve done very little with it since I started it. My first year’s payment went through yesterday so I thought I should get off my arse and do something about it as it was a pure construction site, nothing more.

Even though I’m interested in programming and computers in general, I’ve had very little interest in finding out how WordPress works up to now but today I decided to google on youtube and see what came up. It turns out that WordPress is one of the biggest providers of web platforms on the planet if not THE biggest still as of this date, so I picked a well supported brand at least. I’m not sure if I need a better plan though but I’ll root around in this place until I find the limits of what I need to do or my patience, whichever comes first.

As I’m still dicking around in it, I’m not certain of the constraints on the basic package I have but I have a feeling it’s not letting me publish good quality images of my drawings and paintings. Google’s blogspot site hosts amazing quality in terms of images but of course there is hardly any customizable functionality. I suppose I can make a link to my blog here, once I figure out how to do it right.

So there! My first post on my own website that I intend to tinker with myself.
